If you thought you had to travel the world seeking volcanoes in remote areas across the globe, then look no more. These two men found a way to make lava themselves, basically in the luxury of their own backyards. Working for the Syracuse University Project, which is an ongoing collaboration between a geologist and artist to produce a natural flow of lava for an experiment.

Can we just pause for a brief moment and understand how difficult this is? This lava temp is over 1,000 degrees! To make the lava, the determined team used massive repurposed cauldron and carefully dispensed basalt. Basically it takes a whole lot of time and experimenting. Thank God for their patience.
