Having famous fathers does not guarantee you will follow in their footsteps of success. These college football players are the sons of some of the most high profile celebrities and former players, so this will not guarantee it will be a walk in the park when these sons hit the field playing against some of the best football players in their class. Lets take a look and see how the offsprings of these famous father’s sons are panning out at this level.

Trey Griffey: The son of MLB great Ken Griffey Jr. is a wide receiver at Arizona University. The redshirt sophomore is listed at 6’3″ 195-pounds is one of the team’s most promising offensive go to weapons on offense. While his father attends almost all of his games, Trey showed signs of breakout stardom after catching two touchdowns in last year’s bowl game against Boston College last year.

 

Corey Robinson: Son of NBA Hall Of Famer David Robinson is a wide receiver at Notre Dame. David Robinson is a two time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs. Corey is a sophomore who had a solid freshman season ending up with nine interceptions and one touchdown.

 

Deion Sanders Jr.: The name speaks for itself with Deion Sr. the outspoken flamboyant and probably one of the top three NFL cornerbacks to ever play the game has a son who plays wide receiver at SMU. Deion Jr. wants to shed all comparisons to his dad’s name and make a name for himself.

 

Justin Combs: He is the son of famous hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Justin walked onto UCLA Bruns football team and has been improving. The sophomore made three tackles in last year’s bowl game.

 

Barry Sanders Jr: The son of one of the best running backs Barry Sanders of the Detroit Lions to ever put on a uniform in the NFL. Barry Jr. is a junior at Stanford University becoming the starting running back this year. He is following in his father’s footsteps with his ridiculous ability to cut left and right on a drop of a dime.
