16-year old Hunter Treschl was enjoying a nice swim in Oak Island, North Carolina on June 14th when a shark ripped off his left arm.
Hunter says:’I saw the shark on my left arm,’ he told ABC News a week after being released from hospital. ‘It was halfway up my bicep just attached – and then it wasn’t attached anymore.’

Hunter’s cousin was there to eventually drag him onto to the beach, where his family members and strangers equipped him with a tourniquet from a belt to stop the bleeding. Glad to see Hunter’s upbeat morale after this bizarre incident.
