The United States of America is a country that has many things to show its tourists. It is the country with some of the most amazing objectives, from the ones made by humans to the natural beauties. There are the New York skyscrapers, the Yellowstone and Alaska parks, and the sunny beaches of California, Florida and Hawaii. As there are so many things to see in USA, here is a list with five of the most interesting and visited objectives in this country.
1. The White House
The White House is the office and the residence of the US president. It was built between 1792 and 1800, being used for the first time by the president John Adams. After the 11 September attacks, the protocols at the White House were changed, so it is harder to visit it today. Currently, there are only organized tours for groups of at least ten persons, and the programming is made with six months before the visit. For Americans, the visits are programmed by Congress members, and for foreigners, the visit must be requested by the ambassador of that country in the United States.
2. Denali National Park
The Denali natural reservation is in Alaska, the biggest state of USA and one of the most interesting. In this reservation, you can visit the McKinley Mountain, the biggest in North America. The word “Denali” means “The Highest” in the language of native Amerindians, and it refers to McKinley. The park protects a vast area where you can see the grizzlies in their natural habitats, but also the moose and different species of wolves and bears. If you are in Alaska, you can also think about a visit at the icebergs, where you will surely be impressed by the wonders of nature.
3. Las Vegas
In 1900, a gangster with no fame known as Bugsy decided to create a city of fun, entertainment and luxury, a fiscal paradise governed by the mobsters. In 1911, Las Vegas was officially named as a city. The tolerance of authorities for entertainment and adult entertainment brought its fame as the City of Sins. This can be seen especially on the Las Vegas Boulevard, which is representative for the city. Known as the “Las Vegas Strip”, the boulevard is 5 miles long and it hosts 19 of the 25 biggest hotels in the world when it comes to the number of rooms. In total, there are 67 000 rooms on the boulevard.
4. Florida Keys
With a length of almost 170 miles, the Florida Keys represent a chain of tropical islands that arch around the Florida peninsula. The islands are connected with the continent with a series of bridges, the most spectacular being the Seven Mile Bridge. It was the filming place for many action movies, and it is named “The Overseas Highway”.
5. Niagara falls
Situated in the New York state but also in Ontario, the Niagara Falls is one of the most spectacular wonders of the world. It is in fact made of three different waterfalls, the American Fall, the Brides Veil and the Horseshoe Fall. The last one is situated in Canada, while the first two are in USA. It is one of the most visited objectives in the world.
